Last weekend, I had the privilege of speaking on the main stage at the Future Beauty Show, contributing to an important and evolving conversation around blepharoplasty and eyelid surgery.
It was a valuable opportunity to explore who this procedure is suitable for, what can realistically be achieved, and why a detailed understanding of both aesthetics and function is essential when treating the delicate eye area. Eyelid surgery is not simply about appearance. It requires a careful balance between enhancing natural features while preserving the function of the eyes.
We also discussed how patient expectations are shifting, with a growing emphasis on subtle and natural results. This makes thorough consultation and individualised treatment planning more important than ever.
I am grateful to have been invited back for a second year. A sincere thank you to the organisers, Liz and Nikki, for creating such a well-curated and forward-thinking event.
Liz’s own experience as a patient, having undergone an upper blepharoplasty and brow lift with me late last year, brings an added level of insight and authenticity to the wider conversation around this procedure and the patient journey.
Being part of these discussions is always rewarding and reinforces the importance of continued education and collaboration in delivering the highest standard of care.
